Our History
A Legacy Built to Last
Men of Steel was established in February 1996 by husband-and-wife team Brian and Lori Vanderpoel in Kingston, Michigan. As the business grew, it expanded to a larger facility in Marlette, Michigan, allowing greater capacity and service capabilities. Over the years, Men of Steel has developed into a trusted leader in steel fabrication and erection, proudly serving clients throughout Michigan’s Thumb region as well as Mid and Southeastern Michigan. In April 2024, ownership transitioned to the next generation, with Brittany and Matthew Pabst, Brian and Lori’s niece and nephew in-law, continuing the company’s legacy of excellence.
